When my husband became seriously ill, I suddenly realized there were huge gaps in the healthcare system. Hospitals, doctors, etc. were wonderful but there was no guidance and no one to navigate us through the system; therefore, we did not know what to do or expect. We were fortunate to have an extremely involved network of family and friends but gaps remained. After several years of declining health, which included many hospital stays, and round the clock nursing care in our home, my husband passed away. I became determined to take this valuable knowledge and education I acquired on this journey to support others. This experience prepared me for my 30 years in the healthcare profession and our work in Lekitacare, LLC.
